Will our distribution sell it?

Question: What do our distribution channels think of our current product portfolio and of several potential new product offerings?
Methods: Survey, Tele-groups, Focus groups
Response: Conducted a survey and tele-groups with sales professionals and broker-dealer personnel. Refined the product concepts, then conducted focus groups with additional sales professionals on-site at a sales conference. Recommended specific product refinements and communication strategies, and recommended launching several new variable annuity products
Impact: New product launch was delayed due to organizational changes. Information gathered from study was used to balance product portfolio after an acquisition/merger.
